In the social sphere, the tournament is an inclusive project of public-private partnership. It is a joint initiative of the Russian Blind Football Federation and the BRICS Civil Council, whose founding was endorsed by the leaders of the BRICS nations in the Kazan Declaration during the XVI BRICS Summit.
The event is organised by the BRICS Expert Council – Russia, established in response to directives from the Russian Government and based at HSE University. This initiative, spearheaded by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Finance, focuses on expert analysis and research endeavours concerning pressing issues in political, socio-economic, and humanitarian cooperation within the BRICS framework. The Council serves as the national coordinator for Russia's contribution to the Expert and Civil Track within BRICS. The tournament will be supported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The title sponsor will be PhosAgro Group, a global champion in the production of phosphatebased fertilisers. PhosAgro has initiated the Pro Agro Lectorium initiative in both English and
Portuguese as part of its dedication to supporting socially significant projects within BRICS. This initiative has earned recognition as an official educational platform for the BRICS Business Council Agribusiness Working Group and has been awarded the BRICS Solutions Awards 2024.
The competition will also be supported by VTB Bank (PJSC).
